There are several means to take screenshots:

Pros: finally a FREE screen grabber tool arrives that can compete with pro class paid apps! - it is very scalable, can be used for casual purpose or for professional works as well - has all the basic annotation features - lots of options for those who want them, disabled by default for simplicity

Cons: - doesn't support scripting or command line calls - no framing, shadow or border shape options like winsnap etc - calls home too often and stores the shots on their remote server so it is advisable to block it with a firewall if you don't want that, this should be an opt in based choice - minor risk of privacy breach exists
