Put simply, Synchronous Audio Router lets you route audio from any Windows application through a DAW (digital audio workstation) application, giving you an immense amount of control over your system's audio. You can apply sophisticated effects, routing and switching, and combine the audio streams from each individual application any way you want, producing any number of output mixes.

If your applications of choice don't let you select an audio device, SAR has you covered: you can define per-application routing rules which will override the Windows default audio device settings. You can even use pattern matching to define rules for groups of applications.
It's also fast. SAR operates inline with your existing ASIO driver, adding no additional buffer latency to your DAW, and uses WaveRT for direct low latency transport of audio between applications. This is in contrast to many other 'virtual audio cable' type drivers which often require buffer sizes as large as 50-100ms to work reliably.

It’s not supported natively at all, and while you can record audio output with tools like Audacity, there’s no way to send that output as an input to another application. Up until now, assigning applications to different sound outputs was possible using only 3rd party apps, such as CheVolume (paid with 7 days trial) or Audio Router (free), which still work ok for Windows 10, 8.1, and 7. Alternatively, if the application permitted, you could select the audio output right within the application itself. So we have loopback adapters, one for each of their 172.x.x.x addresses, with the address we will allow as the IP. We then use the 'netsh' command to redirect traffic. So any traffic that access, for example, 172.1.1.1 will get intercepted by Loopback Adapter #1 and redirected to 10.2.2.2. The pain is having one adapter per address.

This is a new feature, so it probably has some bugs in it. Also, it seems that the duplication doesn't work if the devices have different audio configurations(e.g stereo and 5.1 configurations).
You need 3 things: the SAR driver, an ASIO driver for your sound card (if it's good, it came with one, otherwise get ASIO4ALL), and DAW software. If you don't already have a DAW, use REAPER. If you do, I assume you don't need me telling you how to set it up, so have fun.

Nothing. SAR is free software, distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later.

Any traffic that a computer program sends on the loopbacknetwork is addressed to the same computer. The most commonly usedIP address on the loopback network is ::1 for IPv6. The standard domain name for the addressis lo0.16384). The internal loopback address is a particularinstance of the loopback address with the logical unit number 16384.
The loopback interface is used to identify the device. Whileany interface address can be used to determine if the device is online,the loopback address is the preferred method. Whereas interfaces mightbe removed or addresses changed based on network topology changes,the loopback address never changes.

When you ping an individual interface address, the results donot always indicate the health of the device. For example, a subnetmismatch in the configuration of two endpoints on a point-to-pointlink makes the link appear to be inoperable. Pinging the interfaceto determine whether the device is online provides a misleading result.An interface might be unavailable because of a problem unrelated tothe device's configuration or operation. You can use the loopbackinterface to address these issues.

As the loopback address never changes, it is the bestway to identify a device in the network.
The loopback interface is always up and it is reachableas long as the route to that IP address is available in the IP routingtable. Hence you can use the loopback interface for diagnostics andtroubleshooting purposes.
Protocols such as OSPF use the loopback address to determineprotocol-specific properties for the device or network. Further, somecommands such as lo0.0 fromdisrupting internal traffic.
